PPO-Elektroniikka specialises in electronics and safety technology. We have been solving our customers’ technical challenges since 1981. Our story began with the development of a system to
improve electrical safety in hospitals´ critical group 2 locations.
Our first insulation monitoring device, the MEV-3, was launched in 1982. Since then, we have developed five generations of the MEV® system; the latest generation, MEV-8, was completed in 2020.
In addition to the MEV® system, we have several unique technology solutions designed to enhance safety, improve operational reliability, and prevent damage in demanding environments.
Our newest innovation is PPO® ForExt, a fluorine, heavy metal-
and a halogen-free forest fire extinguishing agent developed in collaboration with the Finnish company Kiilto. ForExt has been tested in multiple countries and has attracted growing international interest.
